Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard have confirmed that Fern Britton is set to make a return to 'This Morning'. Following the commercial break, the presenting pair shared some "exciting news" with their audience. "Hello and welcome back, we have got some exciting news for you," said Ben with enthusiasm, as Cat added: "Really exciting." Ben revealed: "This autumn we have a lot of wonderful new content coming your way take a look." A clip was played, much to the delight of fans, showcasing former host Fern's comeback.
During the voiceover, Cat announced: "Welcome to the new season of This Morning and a new season with new adventures." The promotional video highlighted various upcoming features, including fresh fashion and antique segments, reports the Mirror.
Cat continued: "And one of those adventures sees the return of an old friend." Fern appeared on screen, casually asking, "Is this the piece to camera?" before realising they were rolling and quickly apologising with an "Oh sorry!" Cat then declared: "Yes, it is hats off to Fern as she explores the Isles of Britain." Fern was heard exclaiming: "Wow, this is a million-dollar view," as the clip concluded.
Fern became a full-time presenter on 'This Morning' in 1999, co-hosting with Phillip Schofield until her departure a decade later when Holly Willoughby stepped into her shoes.
