Hollywood actor Depp, 57, attended the High Court in London with ex-wife Amber Heard as they divulged details about their marriage.
However, viewers seemed more interested in Matthew's hair, which appeared to have a trim on top but was pulled into a ponytail in the back.
Baffled viewers flocked to Twitter to point out to Matthew that hairdressers were "now open" and pleaded with him to get rid of the mullet.
