Far be it from me to say ‘I told you so’ but I must admit to being delighted the other day when Giovanni van Bronckhorst confirmed an agreement with the Colombian is now very much on the cards.
So let me go one step further today and predict Ryan Kent will also be putting pen to paper on a contract extension before the end of the transfer window.
Don’t get me wrong. Until the market shuts down nothing is set in stone. If a huge bid was to come in for either one of these players then the situation could change at the stroke of a pen right up until the clock strikes midnight on deadline day.
But my hunch is that both of them have decided they want to be part of the plans at Ibrox so don’t be surprised if they both commit their futures to Rangers on long term deals.
