As a beauty editor, the best mascaras are one of my most tested beauty products. I've had a few favourites over the years – including this stunning formula – but I believe I've discovered a new contender for the top spot, and it's a steal at £10.

From the moment I opened it, I knew it was a winner; I favour a spiky, silicone brush over a bristly one – which this one has, in a sort of concave shape – as I find them much more effective at reaching right down to the lash roots and separating my unruly lashes, which often grow in unwanted directions.
