Thierry Henry is closing in on his first management job in English football - moving him a step closer to his ultimate dream.

Mirror Sport understands Henry could be confirmed as the new Cherries boss as early as next week after making an official approach to CF Montreal for talks.

Henry, 43, is the top choice to replace Jason Tindall after he was sacked and Jonathan Woodgate was put in caretaker charge two weeks ago.
