Liam James Payne (born 29 August 1993) is an English singer and songwriter.
He rose to fame as a member of the boy band One Direction.
Payne made his debut as a singer when he auditioned for the British television series The X Factor in 2008. After being eliminated as a solo performer, he auditioned again in 2010 and was put into a group with four other contestants to form One Direction

The shooting happened at around 11.45pm on Wednesday. A man, aged 39, was rushed to hospital after being shot in the wrist, where he remains in a 'stable' condition, police said.
A 19-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder. A cordon has been in place throughout today (October 24) while officers carried out their work.

"Me and my son came out for a drink and he nipped out," said the witness, who asked to remain anonymous. "I had just rolled myself a cigarette and was about to come out for a smoke and within a split second there was an almighty bang.
