Leicestershire singer whose first live gig was a performance at last weekend’s Glastonbury Festival. One music industry figure believes there is 'no end' to what 17-year-old Sekou could achieve.
Sekou, who is from Ashby, took to the BBC Introducing stage at Worthy Farm last Sunday (June 26) after being hand-picked by BRIT award winner Arlo Parks to perform at the festival.
Remarkably, the appearance at Glastonbury happened to be the teen’s very first live performance too. After being discovered through TikTok and Soundcloud last year, Sekou was snapped up by London-based label Good Soldier Records.
Since then he has been on a rollercoaster ride of events and bookings.
