The carer says she was rushing last Saturday (June 26) to take her mum to accident and emergency after her leg started to turn purple — fearing she was suffering from sepsis.

However, when she arrived at the hospital’s A&E car park, she found one of the two disabled spaces was taken up by a police car which did not show a blue badge.
