The XFL is shutting down and laying off all its staff, Deadline reported on Friday (April 10). The league’s chief operating officer Jeffery Pollock broke the news in a conference call with employees, ESPN reported. The XFL will pay employees through Sunday (April 12), but it’s unclear when or if the league will return, according to NFL Networks. “It’s been a tough month for Vince McMahon, who also founded and runs WWE.
Like other media and live event companies, WWE has seen its stock plunge from a 52-week high of over $100 to $36 on Thursday.
