The Weeknd’s ‘Hurry Up Tomorrow’ Tops Albums Chart With Biggest Opening Week of 2025

Thania Garcia The Weeknd’s “Hurry Up Tomorrow” is the No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 with a staggering 490,500 equivalent album units, making it the biggest debut of 2025.

That marks the largest week for any album since Taylor Swift’s “The Tortured Poets Department” debuted at No. 1 in May of 2024 (with 2.61 million).

This is the biggest debut week of the Weeknd’s five full-length releases (also the Weeknd’s largest sales week ever), surpassing “After Hours” by 6,000 units.

Of “Hurry Up Tomorrow’s” nearly half-million units, album sales comprised 359,000 of that total, according to data from Luminate.
