The R&B star’s After Hours single, “Blinding Lights,” lifted itself from No. 2 to No. 1 this week as fans flocked to stream and purchase his new album.
Billboard reports that the song earned 32.1 million streams in the US last week. It’s The Weeknd’s fifth No. 1 hit overall, and second from After Hours, following the No.
1 debut of “Heartless” last year. He previously topped the charts with “Can’t Feel My Face,” “The Hills,” and “Starboy.” Roddy Ricch’s “The Box” first hit No.
