Blake Shelton, Gwen Stefani, Kelly Clarkson and John Legend are all returning as judges for the upcoming Season 19 of the long-running NBC singing competition, and People shared a first look at the all-new socially distanced season on Thursday (September 10), which is coming amid the pandemic.
Among the changes: the judges will now sit eight feet apart in their chairs, and will find innovative ways to stay connected to their contestants.
In one scene, Gwen attempts to launch a tee during the blind auditions with a T-shirt cannon. “I got a present for you but because we’re social distancing, I’m going to launch it at you,” she says.
