Christina Grimmie, a former contestant on The Voice, was tragically killed back in June 2016, after being shot while signing autographs.The 22 year old singer, who appeared on the US version of the popular TV talent show, was meeting fans in Orlando, Florida when the shocking incident occurred.
According to police, Christina's brother bravely tackled the shooter, who then turned the gun on himself. A representative for the singer released a heartfelt statement at the time, confirming: "It is with a heavy heart that we can confirm that Christina has passed and went home to be with the Lord." They added: "She was shot at her show in Orlando and, unfortunately, didn't survive the gun shot wounds," reports the Mirror.
Police reports suggest that Christina was signing autographs and selling merchandise when the man approached her, shooting her twice in the head.
Fans are still devastated over the young singer's death, posting tributes online on Reddit. "I was so sad man. She was the first Youtuber I subscribed to," said one person.
