The View's Whoopi Goldberg Explains Why She's Remaining Single

Whoopi Goldberg has been married three times in her life, and for now, she’s enjoying having no romantic attachments.

During the Tuesday (December 10) episode of The View, the 69-year-old host explained why she prefers to remain single…and it seemingly has to do with hookups! Keep reading to find out more… “For me… I like a hit and run,” Whoopi said, which caused laughter from her co-hosts.

She continued, “I like a hit and run, because I am not interested in a committed relationship.” Co-host Sara Haines then said, “The guys’ll love that.” Whoopi responded, “They do.” Whoopi‘s first husband was Alvin Martin and they were married from 1973 until 1979.

Her second husband was director David Claessen, and they were married from 1986 to 1988. She married actor Lyle Trachtenberg in 1994, but split a year later.
