“Unfortunately named” Irish rock band The Coronas are set to visit a town near you this August bank holiday weekend. Band members are taking to the road for a mini-tour of Ireland, to promote their upcoming album True Love Waits which will be released July 31st.
They plan to tour the country in an ice-cream van, signing albums while giving away free pots of Murphy’s Ice Cream. Lead singer Danny O'Reilly said the tour was inspired by Covid-19 restrictions: “There’s a long way to go before we beat this unfortunately named virus.” “When we realised that we weren’t going to be able to promote the album like before, we started thinking about different ideas to mark the launch.
