The Underground Railroad's Thuso Mbedu Wins Best Female Performance at Spirit Awards 2022!
justjared.comThuso Mbedu hits the blue carpet in a chic look at the 2022 Film Independent Spirit Awards at the Santa Monica Pier on Sunday afternoon (March 6) in Santa Monica, Calif.
The 30-year-old actress was nominated for Best Female Performance in a New Scripted Series at the ceremony and WON for her role as Cora Randall in The Underground Railroad, which is streaming on Prime Video. Lee Jung-jae (not pictured) was the Best Male Performance winner for Squid Game. Thuso was joined at the event by Olly Alexander, The White Lotus‘s Murray Bartlett and Them‘s Deborah Ayorinde, and Ashley Thomas.
Rutherford Falls’ Jana Schmieding and Michael Greyeyes, Blindspotting’s Jasmine Cephas Jones, and We Are Lady Parts’ Anjana Vasan were also see on the blue carpet for the event.
