Michael Schneider Variety Editor at Large Peacock is clearly a faithful to “The Traitors.” The Emmy-winning competition series has just been renewed for two more seasons, the streamer announced Wednesday morning.
And back for Season 4 and Season 5 will be host Alan Cumming. The news comes as shooting has finished on Season 3 of “The Traitors,” while the second season is currently nominated for four Emmys, including outstanding reality competition program, outstanding directing for a reality series, outstanding cinematography for a reality series and Alan Cumming in outstanding host for a reality or reality competition program.
The show’s Season 2 also received outstanding achievement in reality at the TCA Awards; and became the most-watched unscripted series in the U.S.
across all streaming platforms during launch week, according to Nielsen. On a recent episode of Variety’s Awards Circuit Podcast, Cumming discussed the outlandish version of “Alan Cumming” he plays on the show.
