Infections are continuing to rise sharply across the ten boroughs as the new more infectious Delta variant of coronavirus spreads across the north west.
In the last week to June 6, cases doubled in three boroughs of Greater Manchester. While Bolton continues to top the table with an infection rate of 313 per 100,000 people, Salford is now a close second, with a rising infection rate of 265.4.
