To help, a new study has revealed the cheapest places for an autumn staycation in Scotland. Holiday booking site, LateRooms.com has created an online quiz to help families find their perfect budget break this October.
The firm looked at the average price of accommodation for the month of October to determine the cheapest places to stay. The number of free local attractions in each of the cheapest destinations was also noted, to highlight how families can holiday on a budget.
The data reveals that the area Inverclyde with an average cost of £33 and 21 free activities and attractions comes out on top.
