When Louisa Hussey realised she couldn’t ride Metrolink trams because of her heightened sense of smell, she thought she was just stressed.
It was one of many strange symptoms the charity worker had been experiencing – ranging from dry eyes to itchy skin – but she put them all down to tiredness.
However alarm bells started to ring when Louisa, from Didsbury, found herself struggling to get pregnant in her 30s. Further tests revealed Louisa was experiencing the early menopause and she would not be able to have children.
