A mum and daughter who shed almost eight stone inspired by an article in the M.E.N have shared their weight loss secrets. Angela Allan, 59 and Hayley Breed, 33, decided to make major changes ahead of Hayley’s wedding after struggling with their weight for years.

The pair signed up to slimming group Beeweighed in Cheadle Hulme back in January and had just five months until Hayley’s big day. Angela, who lost three and a half stone, credits swapping crisps for lentil chips and chocolate for ‘skinny bars’ for her weight loss success. “We had seen an article in the Manchester Evening News about a woman who lost weight after seeing pictures of herself at her son’s wedding,” the mum-of-one said. “We were looking for a weight loss group as my daughter Hayley was getting married in May.

We had tried so many other places and lost weight a few times but we always put the weight back on. “We saw these inspirational stories and we were nervous on the first morning but the people who go are wonderful.
