Michael Schneider Variety Editor at Large Warner Bros. Television has partnered with the Boston Film Festival to launch a “WBTV College Day” at the 40th annual fest to screen a handful of new and returning series for area college students.
The event, held on Thursday, Sept. 19, will feature advance episode screenings of new series “Brilliant Minds” (NBC) and “Rescue: HI-Surf” (Fox) as well as returning Max series “The Sex Lives of College Girls” (Max).
Those screenings will also feature panel discussions and Q&As for students. “Brilliant Minds,” which stars Zachary Quinto as a neurologist who explores the human mind with his interns, will present an advance screening at Boston University. (The show premieres Sept.
23 on NBC). Participating in the post-screening Q&A will be Tamberla Perry (“Dr. Carol Pierce”), Michael Grassi (executive producer and showrunner), DeMane Davis (executive producer and director) and Daniela Lamas (consulting oroducer and writer). “Rescue: HI-Surf” will also launch with a special screening at Boston University.
