Here are some of the most cutting put-downs delivered from the bench over the past year. Neonatal nurse Lucy Letby was jailed for life earlier this year for the ‘cold and cynical’ murders of seven babies.
She also attempted to murder six more. She is deemed to be the most prolific baby killer in modern history. Prosecutors said Letby was a 'calculated opportunist' who used the vulnerabilities of premature and sick infants to camouflage her acts.
