Over the weekend, it was revealed that Y: The Last Man was abruptly cancelled. Showrunner Eliza Clark and star Amber Tamblyn confirmed on social media on Sunday (October 17) that the comic book-based series will not return for a second season on FX on Hulu. Click inside to find out why the show was cancelled… Fans were shocked when the show, which is only 7 episodes into its 10 episode first season, was cancelled so abruptly.

In addition, FX rarely cancels their TV shows. THR is reporting that the reason it was cancelled so abruptly is because execs needed to make a decision by October 15, a date within the cast contracts, to pick up second season options for the stars.
