Chapuisat is a huge admirer of Itten after watching the emerging 23-year-old bag 20 goals for St Gallen to help them secure second place and their best Swiss Super League finish for 19 years.Itten has also scored on his only two international outings with the first the winner against Georgia to book Switzerland’s place at Euro 2020.
He scored within six minutes of coming off the bench after replacing current Celtic target Albian Ajeti and Chapuisat would love to see his country’s two star strikers go head-to-head either side of the Old Firm.
