The Queen was reportedly at the bedside of her “beloved” husband Prince Philip when he passed away on Friday morning in Windsor.

According to reports, the 99 year old Duke of Edinburgh was on “good form” in the days leading up to his death and had vowed to “never return to hospital” after a long stint there last month.

Prince Philip is said to have spent his final days with his “Lilibet” at Windsor Castle, but was left “frustrated” over Covid restrictions meaning limited family visits.

However he is said to have still been reading and writing letters and speaking to loved ones on the phone in his final days, the Daily Mail reports.The publication added that the Queen’s husband had been ‘calmer and quieter” since his return from hospital.
