She never takes it off and inside the ring is an inscription.’She continues: ”No one knows what it says, other than the engraver, the Queen and her husband.’Queen Elizabeth’s engagement ring also has a special sentiment as before proposing, Prince Philip had a tiara, which was owned by his mother, Princess Alice of Battenberg,  taken apart and repurposed the diamonds to make a ring.The royal couple got married on November 20, 1947, at Westminster Abbey under the watchful eyes of 200.
