Murray Abraham will bow during the 2025-26 season, producers announced Monday. “The entire Queen of Versailles company is having an incredible time building this new original American musical with the gracious and arts-loving audiences in Boston,” said The Queen of Versailles producers Bill Damaschke, Seaview and Diva Worldwide Entertainment. “We look forward to the journey ahead and bringing this story to Broadway in the 2025-26 season.” The show will run through August 25 at Boston’s Emerson Colonial Theatre.

Murray Abraham in character as one-time Florida billionaires Jackie and David Siegel. Based on Lauren Greenfield’s award-winning 2012 documentary film The Queen of Versailles and the life stories of Jackie and David Siegel, the musical will feature music and lyrics by Oscar-winning songwriter Stephen Schwartz, with a book by Lindsey Ferrentino and direction by Tony winner Michael Arden (Parade, Once on This Island) and choreography by Lauren Yalango-Grant & Christopher Cree Grant (Parade).
