The Queen embraced the sunshine in a Summery yellow outfit on Wednesday as she welcomed Australia’s Governor of New South Wales to Windsor Castle for a face-to-face audience.
The 96 year old monarch, who recently celebrated 70 years on the throne with the Platinum Jubilee, met retired judge Margaret Beazley as she welcomed her into her Berkshire home.
Pictured standing without the use of her walking stick, the elegant royal wore a summery bright yellow dress with a blue floral pattern as she greeted the Governor during the official engagement.The pair were pictured smiling and shaking hands as they chatted together in the Oak Room.
This marks the second official engagement The Queen has undertaken this week, following her meeting with the Archbishop of Canterbury on Tuesday who presented the long reigning monarch with a special Canterbury Cross for her “unstinting service” to the Church of England during her long reign.
