Shane MacGowan's cause of death has been revealed by his heartbroken widow after she announced the late singer's passing on Thursday, November 30.

Victoria Mary Clarke said that the Fairytale of New York star died of pneumonia after battling a brain swelling condition, according to the New York Times.According to reports Shane had been battling health issues for many years and his wife begged fans to pray for the singer as he was rushed to hospital days before Christmas in 2022.
