Pep Guardiola put together a compilation video for his players on the eve of their final Premier League game last season that left the Manchester City chairman emotional.
Khaldoon Al Mubarak was one of those present in a packed auditorium before the team's match with West Ham last May, along with fellow executives Ferran Soriano and Txiki Begiristain as well as the whole playing squad.
Guardiola did not speak at the meeting, but instead simply turned the lights off and hit play on a video that relived the team's best moments of the season from the opening night at Burnley through to Stefan Ortega's save in the penultimate game at Tottenham.
The video went down a storm inside the room, and gave Al Mubarak a reminder of why Guardiola has achieved so much in his career. "That's what makes him so great," Al Mubarak said. "The ability to read the room and read his players and what they need for that moment.
