The Palace in 'Coming 2 America' Is Actually a Famous Star's Real House!

justjared.comThe highly anticipated Eddie Murphy movie Coming 2 America is now streaming on Amazon Prime Video and viewers are in awe over the palace in fictional Zamunda.
The film was was shot mostly in the Atlanta area and rapper Rick Ross‘ mansion was used for the palace. “Our big problem was, where do we find a house that had the scale of the possibilities for a very lavish palace?” production designer Jefferson Sage told Variety.
The home was used as the “bones” of the palace, though visual effects were used to “enhance the silhouette” of the home. Ross‘ 45,000 square-foot mansion was previously owned by boxer Evander Holyfield and the home features 12 bedrooms and a dining room for 100 people.
