BBC’s The One Show’s viewers were left in shock on Friday night when rock legend Bryan Adams swore live on air, leaving presenters Alex Jones and Ronan Keating forced to apologise.
Bryan, 62, was chatting to the presenters about how his mum took him out of school at 14 to pursue a music career when the f-bomb slipped out.The rock legend was telling the story as he was on the show promoting his latest track So Happy It Hurts and his mother, 94, appears with her son in the video for the song.
He recalled: “She went to the headmaster and said ‘I’m taking my son out of school, he wants to go and join a band. He said to her ‘you are making a huge mistake and you’re a bad mother’.

One Show presenter Alex, 44, quickly responded, saying: “There was a bit of a swear word there, we are sorry.” The camera panned back to Bryan who appeared unsure what he said.The slip-up was brought up again later in the show when Bryan said he was trying to “open up” on the show.
