Cyriel Dessers is the only player Philippe Clement has improved since taking over at Rangers.That's according to Andy Halliday, who has seen the Nigerian step it up to an extent since Michael Beale left, but little else from those who survived the transition to Clement.
Dessers broke the 20 goal mark last season despite heavy criticism and plenty of missed chances to further increase his tally.But Halliday reckons the striker is the only one to have visibly benefitted from Clement's coaching as the Light Blues find themselves five points adrift ion the title race already.
He told Clyde Super Scoreboard: "I'd argue maybe Dessers. I thought when he first came in under Michael Beale he came under a lot of criticism and the goals weren't quite as regular or consistent as they have been since Philippe Clement came in.
Other than that you'd probably struggle to say any more so Dessers is probably the main one. "Yeah, in terms of his interview in the press I don't know if that's him trying to defend his team or players.
