metro.co.ukThe Office actor Ranjit Chowdhry has reportedly died at age 64. The star, who played Vikram in the beloved comedy, is thought to have passed away in India.
TMZ reports that the actor lived in New York but returned to India, his home country, for dental treatment. The site reports that Indian actor Dolly Thakore said he wasn’t able to return to the United States due to shutdowns because of the coronavirus pandemic, and suffered a ruptured ulcer in his intestine.
In US version of The Office, Ranjit played Michael Scott’s (Steve Carrell) co-worker at his second job as a telemarketer. Vikram is later hired by Michael for his new business venture, the Michael Scott Paper Company.
