The Forever Purge has been officially pulled off the Universal release schedule. At the moment, the movie is not set to head straight to VOD, multiple outlets are reporting, like many others before it.
The flick, which stars Leven Rambin, Ana de la Reguera, and Susie Abromeit, is set in the near future, continues telling the story of the annual holiday known as the Purge and a 12-hour period where all crimes are allowed.
The previous four films, which have hit theaters in July throughout the years since 2013, gave grossed more than $466 million at the global box office against a combined production budget of just $36 million.
