'The Neighborhood' Spinoff Series 'Crutch': Jermaine Fowler Joins Tracy Morgan In Paramount+ Comedy
justjared.comCrutch is adding a new cast member! Jermaine Fowler has joined the upcoming The Neighborhood spinoff series which is set for Paramount+, Variety reveals.
The comedian and actor will be joining Tracy Morgan, who will play a new, reimagined character set in the same world as The Neighborhood. Keep reading to find out more… Crutch centers on “Francois ‘Frank’ Crutchfield (Morgan) – or ‘Crutch’ to those that know him well – a Harlem widower whose empty nest plans are put on hold after his millennial son and free-spirited daughter move back home.” Tracy originally played Curtis on The Neighborhood, who was Calvin’s (Cedric the Entertainer) brother, but Crutch is his cousin. Jermaine‘s character will be Jake, who is described as “an Ivy League educated lawyer who forgoes a high-paying position at a swanky, white shoe law firm to provide low-cost legal aid in Harlem.” The spinoff was first announced earlier this year with a series order.
