Santa Claus onscreen in many a Christmas film over the years, from Elf to Miracle on 34th Street, The Santa Claus and The Christmas Chronicles.
However, there’s one movie Santa that is the real cream of the crop and he’s now been revealed in a poll carried out across the world.
5,700 children all over the globe were quizzed on who they think is the most believable Santa, with 76% of kids voting for the late Richard Attenborough who played Santa in Miracle on 34th Street.
It’s a Christmas classic that sees little Susan Walker (played by Mara Wilson), who is skeptical when it comes to believing in Santa, befriend Kris Kringle (Attenborough) who her mother hires to impersonate Santa to meet the kids at Macy’s – only to find out that he could.
