This is the moment an arsonist walks up to a mosque with two beer cans full of petrol and sets fire to them. Police have released CCTV footage of the attack on Didsbury mosque last month as part of a new appeal for information.

Detectives say the footage shows the arsonist approaching the front door of the mosque off Barlow Moor Road, just before midnight on Friday, September 10.

Two men who were passing threw their coats on the fire and tried their best to put it out, as neighbours called 999.
