With the fifth season of ITV's The Masked Singer finally upon us, fans of the singing competition have wasted no time in frantically guessing the stars behind the 12 costumes.

Characters this year include the likes of Dippy Egg, Eiffel Tower and Chicken Caesar to name a few, but it's the Rat that has everyone talking as fans are convinced they know exactly who it is.

After performing 90s band Vengaboys cheesy classic Boom Boom Boom week one and donning a pair of blue dungarees and tartan accessories, theories as to who's behind the mystery rodent have been flooding in, with some even sure they had uncovered the star 'before she even spoke'.

Although we will have to wait and see who's really behind the mask, fans of the show are already convinced it's none other than former Great British Bake Off host Mel Giedroyc, and they're not holding back.
