'The Masked Dancer' bosses were left in need of a detective after they gave celebrity contestants sleuth code names - but forgot who was who.
Series producer Derek McLean has revealed he and his colleagues came up with the idea of using fictional investigators, such as the late Dame Agatha Christie characters Miss Marple and Poirot, to keep masked stars' identities a secret, but it turned into a "really bad idea".
