A pub has been told to sack its manager after police said a man brought in a handgun and bullets and was allowed to stay and have a drink.

The Three Legs of Man on Stretford Road in Hulme was accused by police licensing constable Alan Isherwood of having shown 'no regard whatsoever' for public safety during the incident last month.

Greater Manchester Police applied for the council to hold a summary review of the premises' licence earlier this month, arguing that is is 'associated with serious crime'.

The panel heard the licence has been held by Punch Taverns Ltd and the Designated Premises Supervisor is Danny Hall, who has held the position since 2010.
