Reports on Monday claimed that City had seen a £100m bid rejected by Spurs, in a deal that made it clear Raheem Sterling, Gabriel Jesus and Aymeric Laporte could be involved as makeweight in a deal.
However, MEN Sport has been informed that sources from both clubs have stated that no official bid has been forthcoming as of yet.
Any deal for Kane would be delayed until after Euro 2020, while Tottenham's lack of a manager is also problematic, but a transfer could well be on the cards.
