A total of seven Greater Manchester boroughs are now recording a rise in Covid-19 infection rates. Rochdale continues to have the highest coronavirus infection rate in the region with 127.7 cases per 100,000 people in the week ending March 13.
That’s according to the latest data from Public Health England. Trafford meanwhile has the lowest rate at 59 cases per 100,000 during the same period.
There were 46 Covid-19 deaths recorded in the region during this time - 17 fewer than in the previous seven days. In Greater Manchester as a whole, the infection rate is now 97.1 cases per 100,000 compared to the national average of 58.1.
