The Last Leg will not air as previously planned on Friday night, it has been confirmed. The popular show was due to air in its usual 10pm slot on Channel 4 this evening.
Many broadcasters have been making changes to their planned schedules following the death of the Queen. It was announced on Thursday (September 8) that Queen Elizabeth II had died peacefully at Balmoral, her Scottish Highlands home, that afternoon.
The Palace said in a brief statement: "The Queen died peacefully at Balmoral this afternoon. The King and The Queen Consort will remain at Balmoral this evening and will return to London tomorrow." ITV has also announced changes to its schedule while Channel 4 made adaptations including extending its lunchtime and evening news programmes and airing a special edition of Steph’s Packed Lunch, hosted by Steph McGovern.
