The lake where Naya Rivera disappeared has a dark past
metro.co.ukNaya Rivera went missing while boating and swimming with her son on Lake Piru, and the search continues for the star who is presumed dead.Her four-year-old son, Josey, was found sleeping alone on the rented boat after his mother didn’t return it.Ventura County Sheriff officer Chris Dyer said at a press conference: ‘I think a tragic accident happened here and it breaks my heart.’While the search for her goes on, this isn’t the only terrible event to have taken place in the lake’s treacherous waters…Lake Piru, located in a reservoir in southern California, has been the site of several deaths over the years.These tragedies have often been blamed on things like low visibility, debris, winds strong enough to tip boats over, whirlpools, and cold.
