Last week, TripAdvisor unveiled its Winter Travel Index, which revealed the top trending travel destinations in the UK this winter.
A number of Scottish spots were included in the list, such as Ratho in Edinburgh, Balmaha in Stirling, and Onich in Inverness-shire.
Each one offers a unique winter getaway opportunity for those looking for a smaller-scale holiday in the coming months. The fourth Scottish village that was included in the top 10 fastest growing domestic travel destinations was Morar in the Highlands.
The small village has a population of around 250, but is becoming more and more popular with tourists seeking a quiet holiday.
