Police have shared an image of a huge knife seized from a teenage boy seen walking the streets of a Bury suburb. Officers stopped the 16-year-old as they patrolled Whitefield last night (March 2).
Greater Manchester Police says its officers spotted the teenager while on the beat in the community. They discovered the boy carrying an offensive weapon, which police shared a photo of on social media today (Friday).
Officers also found the teenager carrying class B drugs. Following the search, police detained the youngster. Sharing the image online, GMP suggested it was a result for officers working proactively rather than simply reacting to incidents.
