The TV presenter and former EastEnders actor was tearful as he told how his skate song Stars by Manchester band Simply Red had such a special meaning for him and his family.
Joe, 38, was just 12-years-old when his dad Ricky died from the undiagnosed heart condition Sudden Arrhythmic Death Syndrome (SADS).
The TV star and his pro skating partner Alex Murphy chose Stars to skate to on the ITV contest because it was his mum and dad’s favourite song and it always conjures childhood memories.
