The Greatest Dancer’s future is hanging in the balance in a new career blow for Cheryl Tweedy. I can reveal there are question marks surrounding the BBC’s Saturday night dance-off, which features the former Girls Aloud favourite as one of the ‘dance captains’.
Last month the show’s ratings fell to lowest overnight ever, at 2.3 million. That is just 13 per cent of the audience share against the finale of ITV’s surprise hit The Masked Singer, which drew in a huge 6.1 million.
After capturing the hearts of viewers last year, The Greatest Dancer returned in January with a boosted star quota. Bosses signed YouTube star Todrick Hall, alongside Glee’s Matthew Morrison and Strictly professional Oti Mabuse.
